Newletter #1

What is the difference between a blog and a newsletter? Well, per Google, blogs stay on the website forever. A newsletter is sent in an email, read (hopefully), and then it’s gone. Which one is better?  I am thinking- blogs because when I write, I want to see what the progression is, and I bet you as readers do as well. So how can I do that?  I am not too sure, but for the time being, I am going to do both.  (I will save my newsletters so I can refer back to them).  The blogs can always be found on the web site.

That being said, this newsletter is about how you can do anything you set your mind to.  I am a baby boomer, we didn’t grow up in the world of computers, websites, or google.  We are considered “old school.”  Adding in our heads, writing with paper and pencil, painting without photoshop, and these are all good things until you want to do something on the computer that you don’t understand.  Then you either have to go back to school, ask a grandchild, who is usually too busy to help Grandma~ma, or try to figure it out on your own.  Whatever way you decide, please give yourself time, be gentle on yourself, your emotions, (no throwing the computer), and remember to pat yourself on your back for every little achievement. I created a favicon, I didn’t even know what it was, but I did it.  Then I had to tell everyone what it is (it is that little icon that goes next to the name of the the colorful G in google.)  I even set up the SEO in my marketing program, yes I have a marketing program. I also have a Virtual Assistant! If you need one I am willing to share mine, but just remember I had her at hello!....and I come first!

What is in your future?  Learning computers?  Cooking?  Fitness?  Real Estate?  All these can be done on the computer, as my “ bff “ (Best Friend Forever) always says “Did you check Google?” I have always wanted to do online classes, and I did that.  I can’t take all the credit, because I did need help, but I did it.  I created, for anyone who wants to learn watercolor.  Please check it out. They are not your ordinary classes, they are full of silly, fun and zoom classes and lots of knowledge. Join me.  You may even get a free class, or two!   WOO TOOOT!!
