Did you take care of YOU this Holiday season?

There are always so many exciting things to do and look forward to before the Holidays. It's usually a frenzy of things, writing cards, shopping, finishing the projects, cooking, wrapping, decorating, and parties just to name a few things. Most of these activities are fun and bring us joy, but after all the excitement is over sometimes there is a letdown of excitement, and sometimes sadness, and even regrets. Regrets that I didn't finish a project or I didn't cook that favorite recipe. I used to feel like that after every holiday. Then I found that my art is always a place of happiness. It is better than a one-time massage, or new clothes, or anything else because it stays with you forever. (Even if you haven't done it in 20 years, you still have it)

You may think I am crazy, but no matter how I feel if I start painting I feel better. It is therapy for me. When I pick up the brush and paint, it is freeing and therapeutic. Not saying I always paint something fabulous, but it doesn't matter what I paint, as long as I am creating. That is the best part of the process. I get out of my sadness and have a different outlook on everything. Of course, the more I paint, (like anything you practice), the better you get.

This is the reason I am offering my classes at a 25% discount, no one should feel blue for the new year! I have been busy making pretty shell chimes for my girls for Holiday gifts, and my hand has been a bit arthritic after drilling holes in seashells. I rested it for a few days, but I need to paint on!!!!

I am starting my in-person classes again this January. My online classes are available at any time you wish because you take them at your own pace. They are all the fundamentals you need to start your journey. I even offer a few free classes.

Just a little note: Sometimes we think that $300. is a lot of money for us to spend on ourselves. But when you break down the $300. with a discount of 25% = $225. Then divide that by 8 lessons = 28.21 per lesson. Each lesson has multiple videos, a workbook, and 2 personal Zoom classes, so you get a lot of value for your investment.

This is from my sketchbook, I use my sketchbook for warming up, especially when I don't know what I going to paint. This gives me ideas and also fills my sketchbook with little fun pictures. "try it you'll like it!" a quote from Mikey...a long-ago commercial... but you will.
